FAQs
Rooted in tradition. Made for everyday use. Here’s everything you need to know.
What is a shrub, exactly?
A shrub is a time-honored beverage concentrate made from vinegar, something sweet, and botanicals or fruit. Ours are crafted with raw honey, apple cider vinegar, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients—designed to add depth, balance, and a little ritual to whatever you’re drinking.
How do I use a shrub?
Think of it as a flexible beverage enhancer. Add a splash to sparkling water for a simple refresher, mix into cocktails or mocktails, or experiment with tea, soda, or even a morning tonic. There’s no wrong way—just your way.
Should I refrigerate after opening?
Yes. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating your shrub to maintain freshness and flavor. When refrigerated, it will stay fresh for 4–6 months.
What is the shelf life?
Unopened and stored at room temperature, shrubs are good for up to one year. Once opened and refrigerated, they stay fresh for 4–6 months.
Are your ingredients organic?
We are not certified organic, but we prioritize sourcing the cleanest ingredients possible. Many are harvested and foraged in the Idaho forest, along with ingredients from neighboring farms that follow organic practices.
Do your shrubs contain sugar?
Our shrubs are sweetened only with raw, organic local honey—nothing refined, nothing added.
Do your shrubs contain alcohol?
No. Our shrubs are completely alcohol-free. They’re just as at home in a cocktail as they are in a zero-proof drink.
Are your shrubs meant to be medicinal?
Our shrubs are rooted in traditional practices and made with ingredients long valued for their natural properties. While we don’t make medical claims, many people choose to incorporate shrubs into their daily routines as part of a more intentional, feel-good ritual.
